Ogbadibo Rejects Zoning of 1st Class Chief Stool to Okpokwu

Hon. Moses Enenche of SUBEB Collected N10 Million To Manipulate The Transparent Selection of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class Chiefs in Enone; We Reject Zoning of 1st Class Chief to Okpokwu -Ogbadibo

Benue: The people of Ogbadibo Local Government Council have unanimously agreed to reject the zoning of First-Class Chief's seat to Okpokwu Local Government Council A group of representatives of Ogbadibo, under the aegis of "Ogbadibo Vanguard", stated this at the 24th meeting of the association held on 3rd February, 2017 in Orokam, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of the State In a communique issued at the end of the meeting which was made available to New-Nigeria Reporters and Benue Amebo News, the association declared total support for the decision of Ogbadibo Chiefs to reject the zoning of Enone First Class Chief to Okpokwu local government council In the communique, the association lamented that Ogbadibo local government was never invited to the meeting where such a decision to zone the stool to Okpokwu was arrived at while pointing out that any assumption that Ogbadibo has no interest in the position was done in bad faith.

The association noted that the immediate past Ada'enone who presided over the domain (Okpokwu, Ado and Ogbadibo Local Government Council Areas) as Adah'Enone was from Okpokwu therefore since the law prescribed rotation, it should be the turn of either Ado or Ogbadibo and not Okpokwu

The association which expressed happiness and appreciation to the Benue State Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom, for his non interference in the processes leading to the selection of the chiefs, called on the State government to institute a Commission of Inquiry into an allegation that Hon. Moses Enenche collected a N10 Million bribe to ensure Ogbadibo local government council do not participate in the contest whilst working for a candidate from Okpokwu local government area The association urged Dr. Samuel Ortom not to allow Hon. Moses Enenche in his usual selfish style manipulate the process contrary to the Governor's directive on transparency It read in part, "On the issue of the N10 Million collected by Hon. Moses Enenche of SUBEB to ensure that Ogbadibo does not contest for the position of Och'Enone, we condemn the action and view it as betrayal. The general public is hereby warned to stop dealing with Hon. Moses Enenche or any political appointee as regards the selection of First Class Chief of Enone (Och'Enone) and other chieftaincy positions forthwith."

The association warned whoever it may concern that any attempt to sabotage the interest of any aspirant from Ogbadibo in contesting for the First Class stool would be viewed as a spite on the entire people of Ogbadibo.
